Members Summer Concert 2018

Here you will find everything you need to know for the 2018 Summer Concert.

Where: St John the Evangelist Church, Iffley Road, Oxford, OX4 1JX (map here)

When: Saturday 21st July

Afternoon

  • 10.00am: rehearsal for soloists at the venue
  • 11.00am: rehearsal for chamber groups at the venue
  • 11.30am: rehearsal for ukulele group at the venue
  • 12.00pm: rehearsal for all choir at the venue (St. John the Evangelist Church, via Iffley Road entrance)
  • 1.30pm: doors open to the audience
  • 2pm: afternoon concert begins (predicted finish of 4.00pm)

Evening

  • 4pm-6pm: break for food & refreshments
  • 6.00pm: rehearsal for evening concert
  • 6.30pm: doors open to the audience
  • 7pm: evening concert begins (predicted finish of 9pm)

Dresscode

Women: black. A blue flower will be provided.

Men: black trousers, black shirt. A blue tie will be provided.

What else: Everybody performing will need a black folder to hold all the music for the concert.

Tickets: Tickets will be available on the door but it is best to buy beforehand. Available at rehearsals:

  • £8 or
  • £6 concession (5-16 year olds & over 60s)
  • under 5s go free

Parking

There is absolutely no dedicated parking at the venue. Please inform friends and family that the best option is to catch a bus from the city centre to Iffley Road or Cowley Road. It is advised that those coming from further afield use the Park and Ride.
