The Oxford City Singers are a community choir based in the centre of Oxford. We always like to welcome new members so if you are thinking about joining a choir then why not come along and give us a try?
In addition to rehearsing regularly we also give several performances a year – two during the Summer and two at Christmas. We are quite a large choir so there is no pressure to perform in any of these events – they are entirely optional.
So whether you sing regularly and would like to try something different or you’ve never sung before and want to try something new then we’d love to meet you. You can join us by simply coming along to one of our weekly rehearsals (see below) and signing up. If you have any questions then please see the contact page for more information on how to get in touch.
Our next term will begin on Thursday 16th January 2020 and run until Easter.
Rehearsals run weekly on Thursdays throughout most of the year. It costs £3 to attend a single rehearsal or £30 paid up front for 11 rehearsals. You only pay for those that you attend.
Rehearsals are from 7.00pm – 8.30pm.
We rehearse at St Michael’s Church on Cornmarket Street in the centre of Oxford.
St. Michael’s Church is on the corner of Ship Street and Cornmarket Street – next to Pret a Manger. It is the very old tower near the end of Cornmarket Street. The church entrance is on Ship Street.
Buses stop on Queen Street, at the lower end of Cornmarket Street, and on George Street at the top end. There is limited parking on Broad Street. There is no parking available at the church – bikes can be fixed to the railings outside.
